Ireland Roadtrip!

From 21st July to 15th August, Grounded Connections founder Rachel will be road tripping through Ireland & Northern Ireland with the aim of connecting as many likeminded women as possible!

All our road-trip events are open to both members & non members!!

 

Members can hop into the events either on WhatsApp below or using the app's new map feature when it launches w/c 20th July!

We have planned our NI/Irish events as best we can - but please bear in mind they are all subject to last-minute tweaks depending on recommendations from locals!

Antrim, Northern Ireland - Evening Walk

Portballintrae to Giant's Causeway coastal loop - this is approximately 10km, moderate difficulty due to nature of the coast!

The car park at the end of Beach Road in Portballintrae.

What to bring:

Wear sturdy waterproof shoes. The trail involves sand and uneven, muddy patches. The coast is famously windy. Bring a waterproof jacket & layers, even on a sunny day! Bring a coffee and snacks / picnic for a mid-way stop!

County Down, Northern Ireland - Walk + River Dip

Tollymore Forest river trail - this is a fairly gentle walk of approximately 5km, and we will stop along the river for a wild swim for those who fancy a dip!

Wear your normal walking clothes and prep for all weathers! Bring swimmers & a towel if you fancy the dip (absolutely not necessary - you can just join for the walk) and a picnic / something yummy in a thermos to help you warm up after!

Donegal, Ireland - Forest & Beach Walk

Come to Ards Forest Park with us for a stunning coastal and woodland hike! The full loop takes about two hours and stretches roughly 6.4 kilometers.

Sligo, Ireland - Sauna & dip

This will be a beautiful evening of relaxation in a wooden barrel sauna - treat yourself with a trip to Blaze Sauna nestled on Mullaghmore Harbour!

Galway, Ireland - Connemara Hill Walk

Join us for a ~2 hour, 6km loop up Diamond Hill! We'll be going all the way to the top - fingers crossed the weather behaves and we'll get some stunning views of Connemara National Park.

Mayo, Ireland - Beachside Yoga & Cacao

We're thrilled to partner with Nicole (Instagram @melody.ie) who will be leading us through an evening yoga sessions & cacao ceremony on this beautiful beach, at sunset!

Clare, Ireland - Mullaghmore Hill Walk

A 7.5km loop around Burren's famous limestone pavements! Moderately difficult.

Kerry, Ireland - Killarney Walk & Swim

Come with us to Killarney National Park. We'll take a gentle stroll from Muckross House over to Rosie's Beach where we'll have a little swim & picnic before heading back! Approx 4km in total.

Waterford, Ireland - Stroll & Brew

We will head to Mahon Falls to see the waterfall! There's a gentle flat walk of 2km, or those that are feeling more adventurous can join for a longer 4.3km hike that includes a scramble upwards!

Join us at the fairytale setting of Barrow Sauna for an evening of relaxation in the forest!!

Dublin, Ireland - Howth Walk & Swim

We'll do the 'blue route' Howth walk which will include a stop at Balscadden Bay for a dip for those who fancy it! The trail is approx 7km and will take around 2.5-3 hours in total.
