We'd love to have you as a member!
We're a growing community of outdoorsy women who are prepared to be proactive - send the first message, organise meet-ups, show up for adventures, and create real, offline friendships, and we'd love to have you as part of that!

Grounded Connections isn't just another community app.
It's a map to finding your people, one tree hugging, slightly feral soul at a time.

We welcome women of all ages, whether you're seeking gentle creative moments in nature, or are one step off being a mountain goat, there's space for everything in between.
When we say we have groups all across the UK & Ireland we really do mean it...
This map shows the Grounded Connections meets that have been scheduled since July 2025!

I've been a fan from the beginning, and the bigger and more impactful GC becomes the better it gets.
I live in one of the best places in the uk for adventures, but still lack the people to go adventuring with, so I love meeting new people and going on new adventures. It's a highlight of my month!

making friends and finding fellow adventure buddies as an adult can be pretty challenging.
Grounded connections has matched me up with some wonderful inspiring women who like the same things as me.
Going for hikes, wild swims & camps has been nothing short of nourishing!

GC has already been integral to my mental wellbeing and self-esteem, having recently moved to Skye with no existing friends or family on the island.
I've met a great group of women with a range of interests and feral ratings, and wouldn't have met them without GC.
I love spending time alone but also making friends with a similar purpose to me and they've already inspired me to get out and explore the island more!

The groups are small enough that you don't feel you get lost in the crowd, but big enough it feels worthwhile attending.
Plus it's a group chosen activity so you don't feel like you're dragging yourself along to something you may not enjoy to get that human interaction.

I signed up for GC even before I'd made the move to Scotland. I've spent the last 5 years doing a PhD in a place where I felt pretty isolated and without a community.
It took a while to coordinate with groups, but last month our group met up for a coffee and a walk. I was a little nervous on the drive over but as soon as we started chatting I was immediately comfortable. When we got back to the start of our walk loop we ended up taking a second loop as no one was quite finished chatting yet :)
The ease of settling in to talking with these people who are also looking to make connections with the activities we enjoy is a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to my next meet with these ladies and the future groups!
